My childhood revolved around this series (mainly socom 2), and now the servers are being shut down after all these years on the ps2. i think socom confrontation is about as close as socom 2 we are going to get. the gameplay is almost similar. zipper dropped the ball on socom 4 big time cause they tried to make it like COD. zipper could have saved face if they would have brought out socom 2 in hd. they didnt realize how much a strong fanbase they still have with this game (socom 2).

True, I known that there is a lot of members on here and I wish that they would vote for socom 2 hd. It would really help.

just thinking about it more... if they would have redone socom 2 in HD and sold it for $19.99 in the ps store... they could have made hella bank. people are still playing confrontation because its a dying effort to play something similar it socom 2.

Same here along with Call of Duty 2. Good memories, sad to see a good series go. It was probably the best tactical 3rd person game out there for online play.
