(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So if you have seen The Amazing Spiderman or know about the film you will know that Spiderman is now played by Andrew Garfield instead of the Tobey Maguire that we all knew as spiderman all those years ago.

I just want to discuss what you feel about this new actor and how he fills the boots of this incredible role.



For me at first I thought that a role like this could not be filled by anyone else but after seeing the film, which in my opinion was amazing and Spiderman has been one of my favourite superheroes, I thought that he played the role in a whole new different way.

As you may or may not know the film follows the storyline of the original comics.

Now the thing which makes me prefer Andrew over Tobey is probably greatly down to the film itself rather than the acting, and the thing I enjoyed most about the film (without giving anything away) is that If you remember spiderman 1 Tobey seems to catch onto the use of his powers pretty quickly and if you have seen the amazing spiderman you will know what I mean by Andrew grows into the role.

Overall it was a great film and Tobey Maguire was going to be a tough one to best but I think Andrew Garfield has done it perfectly.

I haven't even seen the new Spiderman but no acting can be as atrocious as Tobey Maguire's.

it will not be the same!

I first thought that but after seeing the film it was 10/10 for me.
It's up there with one of my favourite films along with The Avengers ^^

after i watch the film i wll reply to this thread again, hopefully saying that i thoroughly enjoyed the film, even though it is not the same character!

tobey migurie is a better spiderman

toby mcguire and the bitch who played the girl in the first trilogy were laughable. emma stone plays her pretty well and andrew garfield is a lot less beta and nerdy. some of the scenes match him perfectly, makes spiderman actually look like a super hero able to match some of the other marvel heroes. the difference a small 10 years made is actually unreal, the first person view scenes were brilliant, they should have included way more of them but also put some more 3-d moments into the movie.


lettuce be cerial tho, the dark knight rises should smash any records spiderman and any previous movies have made in the box office.

Well I love the Spiderman movies and all of them have been played amazingly by Tobey Maguire. But I'm sure they will still be amazing with the new actor.
Hmmm I'm sure Tobey won't mind not being in this one..
