Hey, my friend have an old PS3 FAT that HAD YLOD. He fixed it with the "Hairdryer" trick:
Now, the PS3 turns on like normal, BUT.. The PS3 dont show video and dont detect the PS3 Controller.
We tried to acces the recovery menu but it dont work. We checked the PS3 inside (he had it open) but we also dont see problems.
Any help to fix this? This PS3 is under 3.55 and he want to jailbreak it and data transfer to his new ps3

Hi mate,
your best bet is to take it to a shop, your friend has obviously done something wrong and I don't believe you'll be able to identify the problem yourself, in the worst case, he may have broken it permanently, that's what I did to my PS3, but whatever happens, take it to a repair shop,
Personally I think he should have taken it to a shop that does PS3 repairs. They wouldn't have update it either if you asked them not too and he would have got it fixed perfectly.
It could be when he's opened it the first time hes unplugged something that he shouldn't have or he hasn't put something back in place correctly.
Check on youtube and see what you can find on these kind of errors.
I will tell him to check everything again, but I believe everything is right..
