(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Since I'm the almighty Head of Media now for the community of NextGenUpdate, I've decided to create a thread that'll be specifically for suggestions, comments, etc. If you feel like NextGenUpdate has some aspects that need change in terms of media, that'll be listed below, don't be afraid to call out!

When I say suggestions, from things you guys think would be better for any section of the 'Media Team', including:

• Gaming Squad
  
• Reporters / News Team
  
• vBookie
  
• YouTube Team
  

However, with that all said, there are (of course) a few rules:

1. If you have a problem with any members that are involved with any team listed above, do not post it. If you in fact do have any 'beef' with one, send a PM to either me or an Administrator.
   
2. If you're going to comment on something, make sure it's constructive. No putting anybody down, this is to help both the features of NextGenUpdate and the community.
   
3. No flaming other members with ideas you disagree on. You can comment on how it wouldn't be a good idea in a respectful way, though. It's all about respect.

Gaming Squad -

These are the ones that contribute and voluntarily dedicate their time on NextGenUpdate towards the You must login or register to view this content. of the website, which is a new feature we're all still getting used to.

Reporters / News Team -

The news team has been a part of NextGenUpdate for as long as I remember. Their main goal is to educate the community with up-to-date information regarding video games, consoles, developers, and other video game-related media on the You must login or register to view this content..

What video game titles do you want to see more of?
What could they do to make reading news a better experience?
Is there something they're doing wrong?
Is there something they should do more of?

vBookie -

vBookie is a really big attraction in terms of members here on the site, and they have a wide variety of sporting events to choose from and bet on in the You must login or register to view this content. of NextGenUpdate. All information you need is stationed in the 'Stickied Threads' in that last link!

What leagues/events do you want to see that's not being followed right now?
What could the vBookie Moderators do more of to give you a better experience?
What sport do you want to see make an entrance in vBookie?

Start the NGU Movie Night up again =D

This can definitely happen, and is in discussion.
It's something we can do every Friday night as we did before, it's just looking for a dedicated carrier of the responsibility, and getting everything organized.

I think it would be pretty cool to see game reviews from the media team. Not sure what specific group that would fall under, but I'd like to see it in the future.

We'll look into that, it could be a great thing to do for the site.

It could:

• Inform NextGenUpdate members on a new game.
  
• Help build the site with a new feature.
  
• Advertising (sort of) by posting the review on video game websites, as well as video game new websites.
  

I know it's in discussion. I started the thread in the media section -.- And I know what it's like as I was the host of it last time -.- I streamed it every Friday

And how exactly did it work out last time?


Could you give me a general/sketched out format of what you'd want to be reviewed?

I could host it, but I'm not sure how often I would be able to host it. I could probably try and do once every-other Friday. Maybe switch off with someone else. What would happen is a staff member would put up a poll to see what movie people wanted to watch. Then I would find that movie on Hulu or Netflix and stream it from a desktop steamer. The quality was pretty good, best you'll get for something like this, and it went pretty well. It died off when the staff member stopped posting the polls. They didn't have enough time for it :/ I have two streaming accounts and managed to get one premium for free as NGU wouldn't give me any money to help pay for it all. I still have access to these accounts which is good

The new guns from the DLC and what you think works well with them eg attachments

Maybe guides on how to be good in certain vehicles like helicopters
