(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Since I'm the almighty Head of Media now for the community of NextGenUpdate, I've decided to create a thread that'll be specifically for suggestions, comments, etc. If you feel like NextGenUpdate has some aspects that need change in terms of media, that'll be listed below, don't be afraid to call out!

When I say suggestions, from things you guys think would be better for any section of the 'Media Team', including:

• Gaming Squad
  
• Reporters / News Team
  
• vBookie
  
• YouTube Team
  

However, with that all said, there are (of course) a few rules:

1. If you have a problem with any members that are involved with any team listed above, do not post it. If you in fact do have any 'beef' with one, send a PM to either me or an Administrator.
   
2. If you're going to comment on something, make sure it's constructive. No putting anybody down, this is to help both the features of NextGenUpdate and the community.
   
3. No flaming other members with ideas you disagree on. You can comment on how it wouldn't be a good idea in a respectful way, though. It's all about respect.
   

Now onto the specific teams and some potential discussions!

Gaming Squad -

These are the ones that contribute and voluntarily dedicate their time on NextGenUpdate towards the You must login or register to view this content. of the website, which is a new feature we're all still getting used to.

Reporters / News Team -

The news team has been a part of NextGenUpdate for as long as I remember. Their main goal is to educate the community with up-to-date information regarding video games, consoles, developers, and other video game-related media on the You must login or register to view this content..

What video game titles do you want to see more of?
What could they do to make reading news a better experience?
Is there something they're doing wrong?
Is there something they should do more of?

vBookie -

vBookie is a really big attraction in terms of members here on the site, and they have a wide variety of sporting events to choose from and bet on in the You must login or register to view this content. of NextGenUpdate. All information you need is stationed in the 'Stickied Threads' in that last link!

What leagues/events do you want to see that's not being followed right now?
What could the vBookie Moderators do more of to give you a better experience?
What sport do you want to see make an entrance in vBookie?

YouTube Team -

The YouTube Team is a new addition to the NextGenUpdate, with the recent introduction of the You must login or register to view this content., that has everything you need to know about both the general goals and the team members themselves.

On the NGU Youtube Page (Not NextGenSource) their is a Batman Arkham City Play through. I think more of these should be put up with new games that come out. You could maybe even ask some of the trophy guys that have a recording device to do platinum walkthrough video's for games they can platinum. It would get views for NextGenSource if they were uploaded! It would also increase site activity as people who go online to find out how to get past certain parts in games will probably see it and then check out NGU.

This is an awesome idea, I'll run this by Dave and see what we can do.

Well, all I do is post in the tutorial section. I don't really mind about the others, but no one actually comments on my tutorials alot.

Since it's a newer feature, it'll take some time for the members to get used to it, so it may take some time.

Giveaways on the NGU twitter would be an effective means of drawing in new members.

I'm actually looking into that,

That and bringing back the 'NGU Monthly Raffle', I think that'd be an awesome idea, which could be posted on FB and Twitter.
