I'm not sure about your question of the ps3 and pc same headset but the overall headset I would reccomend is the Sony official Bluetooth one.

if you aren't going to spend a lot of money, then you probably won't get a good headset. I have Tritton AX Pros. But they're about 250

AX Pros are 180 I believe. IMO Simulated surround sound is better which you get in the Tritton AX720's for $140. Tritton PX21's aren't bad. They'll work for PC,PS3, and Xbox

Thanks for the reply dude! I'm quite interested in these... could you explain a bit further on the connectivity? How is it possible to use the mic at the same time if it's a 3.5mm into the Tv? Is it a usb connection as well? Also, can you "soundwhore" on Cod with them? Did you buy these of Amazon?
