I believe guns are amazing devices as they save lives everyday. I strongly believe that guns shouldn't ever become illegal, as there are millions of people who own guns and take care of them responsibly. Occasionally we have bad people that do bad things; especially with the Colorado shootings that happened on 20/4/12 but I do not believe others should have to lose their rights because of some thing some psychopath did. Guns do not have a mind of their own, if you told a gun to kill someone/thing it obviously wouldn't do it, its people that are bad; not the guns. I believe that guns are great tools, for protection, defense, and many other things. I hope that guns aren't ever illegal, as then you're defenseless and just a "bitch" per say. I could get all political on you guys, but thats not what my intentions are in this thread. So saying that, what do you guys think.\

No concealed carries, unless you get like some special permit for bodyguard, security, etc. and I'm not sure about open carry, not that I would want it anyway, it draws to much attention to the carrier

Won't get too political, but a public with no firearms is defenseless, which leads to tyranny and full governmental control which is really really really really bad.

If I had a CPL and was sitting in that movie theater while that guy was poppin off people I would have tried to put a couple rounds in that guy if I wasn't that badly effected by the smoke/stun grenade. I was thinking this last night and was wondering if anybody was carrying while they were there or something. But yeah for sure would have tried to put a couple rounds at the guys head or something. Still pretty fucked up that somebody who only has a speeding ticket to their record can do something that fucked up to so many innocent people. Shows you how much our world today is going down the shitter before our eyes. But when I turn 18 I plan on getting my CPL and will be carrying for my protection and for shit like this.

That is absolutely true, there will always be guns, but if there was a lot fewer then tragedies like this wouldn't happen, at least not as frequently. Knives have a practical purpose whereas guns don't, so the point you're making is actually ridiculous. I'd probably get stabbed, it's just the way it is. Chances are if I was being threatened I wouldn't have time to get to a gun anyways. Yes there will always be a bad apple, that's the point I'm making. If guns weren't handed around so much then these bad apples wouldn't be as much of a problem.

Gun laws will not prevent criminals from finding ways to get them, only lawful citizens.

Currently own a Sig P226 9mm, 357 Magnum, 20 ga semi, 12 ga semi, 12 ga double barreled, and a Remington 700 .30-06.

Gun are always needed and are major part of our Rights.
Maybe there should be some stronger Gun Control Laws but that's up to debate because Chicago has one of the toughest Gun laws and more people die there daily by gun shots than in Afghanistan.
