David Beckham will have a role in the Olympic Ceremony although he would not reveal exactly what it was when questioned.

Beckham was surprisingly left out of Great Britain's Olympic football team.
London 2012 chief Lord Coe previously said he would be talking to Beckham about a role during the Olympics.

It has since been revealed that Cycling Gold Medalist Sir Chris Hoy will be the flag-bearer for Great Britain during the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
But the name of the person who will light the Olympic Flame remains a mystery, Steve Redgrave being the bookie's favourite, but Beckham is in the top 10 at 16/1.
