Hopsin's bringing real hip-hop back. My friends and other people my age talk about how good Lil Wayne and Drake are, while I listen to actually good hip-hop like Wu-Tang Clan, Big L, Mos Def, 2pac, the list goes on

If you dont like or at least acknowledge KRS ONE, Rakim, Kool G Rap, as some of the best to ever do it then your not a true hip hop head to me. Of course theres many other names to be included in the "best to ever do it list" like nas pac etc but those are bigger way more well known names that everyone knows. Where the first 3 names arent mentioned as much by these lil young ass punks.

PS. Not trying to sound like an elitest or anything, just keepin it real

I've started to listen to the more intellectual hip hop artists. Now a days all rap is ****** and bitch every few seconds.
Have you heard of people like Sage Francis or Macklemore & Ryan Lewis both are really good artists which you should check out.

Holy fuck that's one solid flow. He needs to speak up a bit more though, sounds like he's whispering, some confidence with rapping would help. Yeah OP you're right in a sense, hip-hop isn't really dead, it's just sleeping. The great artists are still there but there's only a demand for gimicy little faggots. It'll get worse before it gets better, mainstream rap will get so terrible and boring it will die and then we will have our cool artists making it to the surface of the scene again. Sound good?

New generation is what happened some people are in to club bangers now. So that's whats popping, stuff that you can dance to. There is as you call it "real" hip hop around like Nas, Busta, EMINEM, Royce, Kendrick, Tech N9ne, etc. Just cause hip hop has changed doesn't mean it sucks. You just prefer a different type of music. The groups you called "real music" is just an opinion somebody of my generation might have a different opinion.
