They're not perfectly straight, but when looking at them front on they do look straight (i'm getting braces in 2 months). They're not gleaming white.. they just look human... but whenever I was 13 I fell outside and smashed my front tooth out. As i was too young to get a real crown i've had a temperary crown and it looks.. horrible... it makes me so self conscious about smiling.. infact.. with my girlfriend a few days ago I bet her to find one single picture of me smiling showing my teeth and after 15 minutes and 450 photos I won the bet.

My school formal is coming up in September and they usually take a photo of the two people.. and project it onto a big screen for everyone.. all 500+ people to see . This is making me very scared and anxious. I don't want to not smile because i'll look retarded, but I literally can't smile and be proud. I don't know what to do and I'm just looking for some advice on what to do.

OP, the way i see it we all have imperfections. Theirs going to be 200+ pictures shown on that day (im assuming). Therefore, not many people are going to have their eyes glued to every single photo. Moreover, we all have imperfections. Finally, if you have a crown what is the big deal?, I am am sure it looks somewhat real.

my teeth arent good, i should hav had braces wen iwas young, but i didnt. its not an issue 4 me, but then again i smile with my lips and chicks allways say i hav the nicest smile. mayb there trying to get into my pants lol

The most obvious thing is not to smile with your teeth, I rarely do that anyway.

But as for the more long-term issue of your teeth, have you told your parents? Teeth is a big part of your appearance so I'm sure they'd be willing to spend the money needed to get a more aesthetically pleasing fix for it.

Go with whatever feels comfortable for you, who cares what other people think about your tooth. Seriously dude it's just a tooth.
