Do a barrel roll!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am having a hard time trying to buy one -.- .. I am a ps3 user and would like to record Call of duty game plays. I play online so i want to record voice chat and whatnot. But I hear avermedia darkcrystal can't record voice chat? They were saying something about darkcrystal not including a optical cable for audio? Can someone explain what that means really?
and also
What's the difference between Avermedia c874 and avermedia darkcrystal?
As you can see they both look the same but the price has a huge difference. Check it out:

Bring back the smileys!
Look at the specs for each device on the AVerMedia site. From what I can tell, the Dark Crystal Capture Station has more features.

However, a personal reccomendation from devices that I've used is the Elgato Game Capture HD. Works well, you don't need to buy anything extra. It's also the same price as an HD PVR. Check it out You must login or register to view this content..

As far as I know, you can't record your own voice when talking in a party chat on PS3. I think it's possible on Xbox although I haven't figured it out yet :p

If you want to record your own voice you've got to set up a microphone on your PC and record it through your PC while your friends will come through the capture card.
