I'm really impressed by this new device. They seem to have ironed out the issues that existed with the last version, and also seem to have added things that newer competitors such as Elgato don't have. No delay is the future for recording devices such as this, and I'm surprised it's taken this long to implement. The price point you quoted is great too, I can see the original PVR significantly dropping in price if that turns out to be true.
The only issue still, and it's not down to Hauppauge, is the fact that the PS3 uses HDCP via HDMI. I prefer using HDMI cables as they take up way less room, yet thanks to Sony's shortsightedness we can't even record the XMB as it is protected. It's a shame, but still this new device is a huge leap in the right direction. Thanks for the share!

Looks decent but ridiculously over-priced, I'll stick to my good-quality and affordable dazzle :p

Today Will Be Different
Not bad. Obviously they went back to the drawing board to re-design the HD PVR just to compete with Elgato, Blackmagic and Roxio and whoever else I forgot to mention.

Glad to see that they added hdmi ports for xbox, sadly it won't be much help for PS3 users, we will still be stuck with component :( Also nice thread man, very informative =D

The first HDPVR was actually more expensive. I think that this is a great deal for it actually. The problem now is that it will actually be more difficult in some circumstances to record television.
