No its not. Its in direct competition with DayZ.
DayZ is being developed and funded by Bohemia Interactive with Dean "Rocket" Hall as the project lead.
This game is a quick hash up of a crappy quickly pulled together game with the crappy War Inc engine.
Once the creators saw the success of DayZ they got the engine from their old game War Inc, and done some very slight editing and told people it was in creation for months.
Funny how it was only first revealed, or even hinted at two months after DayZ came out. Apparently it was in Alpha then, no game developer keeps a game hidden from the public all the way up to Alpha, thats terrible marketing.
Its a quick copy of DayZ in the hope to get a few quick bucks.
