It saddens me when people are in abusive relationships or have abusive family members and act like it's normal. Usually it isn't any of my business, but when it's obvious that somebody close to me is being verbally, sexually or physically abused I feel obligated to help in whatever way I can. Unfortunately, most of the time I try to help anybody they act as if everything is fine and treat me like I'm at fault for caring. I guess abuse has become so common that people expect it of even the seemingly happy families.
When I remember all the fights I had with my parents when I was young, it saddens me. I treated them like shit, and they didn't deserve it. Also I was on a 3 year streak without getting sad/crying and then I saw a video on YouTube about a policeman dying instantly after breathing some type of toxic gas. He was trying to help a dead man, and you see him die slowly. I cried for 3 days.
