I don't vote because our votes really don't count. However, if I DID vote, I would vote for Romney. Smile

First off, what makes you think America was ever, at least in recent history, more than mediocre?
Secondly, what is "filled with people who want more than they worked for" supposed to mean exactly? I live in the UK and can only assume this is regarding welfare or something.

Well more or less it was in the heat of the moment, however there still stands some truth to my statement.

In recent history, you are correct. America has been and still is mediocre. However it would be difficult to deny that at one point (During the time of JFK for example) that America was prosperous and the whole world adored what they did. They had excellent economic growth and (thanks to stealing German technology from WWII) they because a technological powerhouse. They won race to put the first man on the moon against the soviets and actually started caring about peace. We might disagree on the definition, however I believe that is more that merely mediocre.

I won't start about that though, however JFK for example was a much different "Democrat" than modern day democrats are. Unfortunately "Democrats" are no longer the "Liberals" and are growing more towards socialism. I can say the same about the Republicans. (Growing in the opposite direction of course) Before all of this political Drama both parties were more or less good choices and there were no heated arguments over both parties.

In regards to the second point, I'm talking about general social policies. I go agree that basic healthcare is a right however people want it to become like Canada. (While I am familiar that in the UK and such the "free" healthcare actually works pretty well, in Canada it does not) We have extremely lengthy wait times in the emergency rooms (3 hours +) and we are loosing a vast majority of our doctors due to large amounts of taxes to cover for our healthcare. But that's besides the point.

I should have worded it slightly better. I also don't agree with Obama on taxing the wealthy. People don't want to become successful in countries where they are punished for it. Want proof? Look at Canada. We have very few companies that are still in Canada because of high tax rates. Most companies that started in Canada have already moved to different areas around the globe. The rich don't care about paying a few extra percentages in taxes, however Obama is sending the wrong message. (Which links onto my point about how America is mediocre)

I will be voting for Romney since I do not like the outcome of Obama's first term and do not think he deserves a second "chance".

So you're voting for Romney because you don't like Obama.

Makes sense. /s

Even though I'm too young to vote (16) I would vote for Obama if I could, I'm a Democrat and wouldn't vote for Romney, reason being, something about him make me think he'll fuck the United States over.

I said it like I did because I dislike all of the candidates but I dislike Romney the least.

Voting in this manner is... problematic. Maybe you wouldn't only have Republicans or Democrats if you just voted differently, however I admittedly don't know much about how your politics system works.

Very true. If you don't mind me asking, where do you live?
