Darren Shan books (Vampire stuff, movie sucks btw)
Cherub (ALL OF THEM, THE ORIGINAL AND THE NEW ONES, MUST READ)
Henderson's Boys (Same as cherub, just put back at the world wars as the origins of cherub lol)
The Hunger Games (Okayish)
Dexter series. (The first TV season is fully based off the first book, the books then change from the TV show and go on their own stories completely, so worth reading instead of just watching.)

My favourite has to be Cherub out of all these but I did read all of the 12 darren shan vampire books within a day :p

A Time to Kill by John Grisham is a good book. I would recommend many of John Grisham's books. I also though The Hunger Games series was a pretty good read.
