(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This guide is based on my build (level 30)! Not everyone will agree with me, but mine definitely works! I literally laughed my way through the crucible!

Welcome, to the Crucible!

- Do you have trouble making your way to wave 100 in one sitting?
- Are you getting frustrated because you think there is no way possible to do this?
- Are you ready to give up throw the game away to gather dust?

If you answered YES to any of the above, then this is the guide for you!

The Crucible is an optional combat arena divided to four stages, each with 25 preset waves of enemies. The combat difficulty increases as you go through the waves. Special rewards await those who complete each stage. There are random loot chests that will appear every 5 waves. Opening them however, will end your streak and you'll have to start again.

The Rewards for each stage are as follows:

Stage I - Waves 1 to 25 = Heartstone Talisman
Stage II - Waves 26 to 50 = Abyssal boots
Stage III - Waves 51 to 75 = Barbed Defilers (Scythe)
Stage IV - Waves 76 to 100 = Abyssal Spaulders & Assassin Talisman

Other Rewards
Complete 100 waves in a single session(Which after reading this guide, you will have no trouble doing!) = Aftermath(Heavy mace/hammer)
Defeat the Wicked K(Wave 101(The End)) = Elemental Talisman

The stats for each reward are as follows

Hearstone Talisman = Health 100

Abyssal boots = Defense 125
Critical Chance +7%
Strength 44
Arcane 44

Barbed Defilers = Damage 187 - 215
Special Ability - Defile

Abyssal Spaulders = Defense 208
Critical Chance +7%
Strength 74
Arcane 74

Assassin Talisman = Ranged Damage Mod +9%

Aftermath = Damage (Slow) 713-821
Strength 106
Wrath per HIT 767

Now, enough of the boring stats and rewards and onto the guide to help you laugh your way through The Crucible!

First thing I will start with is the load out. What armor, weapons and skills are the best to use to give you that ultimate edge in the game!

Scythe!
I'm sure a lot of you will have already heard the the possessed scythes are the way to go. This is true, but not needed! Yes, if you can build a possessed scythe to work with your build then you will destroy! (I am only going to explain the best way to build a possessed scythe, before I start. If you don't understand how a possessed scythe works, watch this video:
)

For the Scythe, you want to focus on the Critical Chance and the Critical Damage. This will ensure you those big blows against the opponents. The best way to gain critical chance and critical damage is by sacrificing normal weapons or armor that have a critical chance and/or critical damage bonus.
Also, I can't stress enough how helpful the Health on Crit bonus is throughout the Crucible. This mean that every time you hit a critical hit, you will get some health! The best way to add this to your scythe is by the same means of adding critical chance and critical damage.
you want to be aiming for +30% critical chance give or take +5% and the same for Critical Damage.
As for Health on Crit it doesn't really matter, as long as its over 20 Gaspink:

Secondary Weapon!
You will want to be using a slow axe or Hammer for this! I used a possessed hammer and upgraded it the same way i explained with scythe!

If you do not have a possessed hammer, then try and get a hammer or axe with 500+ damage, this can be very, very useful!

Armour!

The armor set I used was the Juggernaut armor set! You get this in New Game+ from drops or from buying it from a merchant later in the game. The juggernaut armor gives very, very good Critical Damage bonuses!

Pauldron = Juggernaut Pauldron
Defense 216
Critical Damage +40%
Strength 79

Harness = Juggernaut Harness
Defense 240
Critical Damage +39%

Gloves = Juggernaut Bindings
Defense 129
Critical Damage +40%
Strength 48

Boots = Juggernaut Sabatons
Defense 129
Critical Damage +44%
Strength 44

Talisman = Wanderer Talisman
Critical Chance +27%
Critical Damage +33%

WEAPONS!
Scythes = Possessed Double Scythes
Damage 257-291
Frost Damage 31
Critical Chance +30%
Critical Damage +35%
Health on Crit = 66

Hammer = Possessed Hammer OR Mace of the Everflame(Vulgrim sends you it on New Game+ just before you enter the well of souls)
Possessed Hammer Stats = Damage (slow) 616-708
Frost Damage 84
Critical Chance +29%
Critical Damage +35%
Health on Crit 66

Mace of the Everflame Stats = damage (slow) 634-730
Critical chance +25%

(Please be aware, Possessed weapons are rare! It took me a couple tries of the game to get them way I wanted! This guide is just a Rough estimate of what you should aim for to Laugh your way through The Cruicible!)

Skills!

Harbringer
Teleport Slash (3)
Harvest (3)
Reaping (3)
Unstoppable (3)
Inevitability (3)
Killing Blow (3)
Empowerment (3)
Call of the Grave (3)

Necromancer
Exhume (3)
Undying (3)
Enervation (3)
Death's Allure (3)

That is the skills you should aim for, they help a lot. They do damage as well as giving a chance to heal!

My overall Stats with all of the above:
Primary Weapon
Damage Per Second 3448
Critical Chance 84%
Critical Damage +331%

Secondary Weapon
Damage Per Second 3655
Critical Chance 83%
Critical Damage +331%

Please note! This is a rough guide on what to aim for! If you can get as close as possible to these stats then you will be walking through the crucible like a walk through the park!

Additional Tips!
Get your dodge timing perfected. As you can't block, if you become a master of dodging enemy attacks you will find it much easier!

Once you have completed the New Game + on Apocalyptic for the better armor and wepons, start the crucible the pause the game and change it to easy. This might give you that extra lead you need to complete it!

This is my first ever guide, I know it's not the best so please don't criticize. If you can follow the information and get the stats as close to mine as possible you will find it very easy!
