(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I decided to keep going with this and hopefully the opinions have more variety this time. The scenario is the following; the person you love the most has been sadly diagnosed with cancer. Now this is no simple removable lump. This is full blown cancer, and said person is going to die quick. Now you go to your home, and watch the news. Their is a broadcast in your area that someone has found the cure for cancer. However, this cure only works. Keep in mind this is completely legit 100% (so don't say what if it doesn't work). This man is a realist; he believes people die all the time, and does not want sob stories but, money/material wealth. The problem is what he is asking for is way beyond your financial reach and no loan/loans will help you.

So what do you do? Do you hurt the person in exchange for the cure? Do you attempt to steal it? Do you kill a innocent man in exchange to save your loved one's life?

So that is the question; it's long but more controversial than the last one. Sorry if i open any wounds if someone had recently lost a loved one to a form/forms of cancer.

I would offer to give him everything I own. My house, car etc. if he still says no I would try find the cure. I would rob his house and take evidence

Just for clarification what he asking is astronomical; so were talking like in the zillions :p. But yea i comprehend you would steal it;Understandable as people go through a lot for their beloved ones. But keep in mind their might be legal consequences :p.

This reminds me of a movie that a friend told me about, but the guy took hostages in a hospital so his son could get treated for some life threatening health issue. However at the end he's the only who can save his child, so he does.

But to be honest I think this would be one of those questions where people will say "Oh I'd try and steal it".. let's be honest. You're not going to be acting rationally.. so you'd most likely kill the guy, save your child and go to prison end of story.

That movie is John Q (Denzel Washington).

Anyway, I don't have to do much imagining here because my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and passed away two months ago as a result of it. Would I have tried to save her? I realize that I was a disrespectful dog for the 20+ years she had to deal with me, and I feel like trash for never honestly apologizing. So yes, I would have tried to save her, because I would see this scenario as my ultimate chance for redemption, and to reconcile the fractured bond we shared. Do the ends justify the means? I would feel vindicated if I stole, yet succeeded in curing her- but I also realize that this selfish, capitalistic society would show me no mercy. Regardless, I'd still muster the courage to do whatever it takes.

Nice thread once again Smile

Tbh this is really a tough one, for one at this point in time your rationality might just have flown out of window and to get this cure you would do anything. Doesn't mean it'll work though, stealing it is an easy answer and not very practical but I'll make an attempt. I would hire a very proud hacker, one of the best, have him crack the mans firewall and steal the intellectual property. Hoping he would do it for free just because he would want to be known as the one who hacked the cure to cancer. Said hacker then posts the cure online thus saving not only my loved one but everyone who has cancer.

I don't think that all the money in the world hit a zillion. Drack

If I can't pay the cure well I would make an online campaign, I don't know why but that campaigns always work. :p I have other ideas but I don't find the right way to explain myself.
