Dubstep used to be good until some artists ruined it and kept doing the same thing. That's where it went downhill. Dubstep is so far bad.

Generally, I like dubstep, but I noticed something a while ago about how people view dubstep. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like dubstep is the only genre that people feel the need to completely over-generalize. In other words, there are tons of dubstep artists, each with atleast a little bit of uniqueness, just like every other genre. Plus, there are many different sub-categories of dubstep, so someone may only like one style, or may like all styles. Nobody is going to like every single rock song that ever existed, so why automatically hate all dubstep?

Sorry 'bout that rant...anyway I like listening to skrillex and that style of dubstep. Orchestral dubstep is also pretty awesome.

I kind of agree i prefer normal music but its not horrible, just not my preference most of the time.

As an avid dubstep listener, it never gets old to me, as there are so many different styles of dubstep and then other genres that sound similar to dubstep but have a few fundamental changes. In terms of artists, I'm pretty mainstream about it.
Some Favorites: Skrillex, Skism, Eptic,Dirtyphonics, Habstrakt, Kill the Noise, KOAN Sound(They make glitch hop too ), and Pegboard Nerds.

dub step can be great if done in the right way just look at skrillexs but in saying that it can also be really bad it depends who your listening to

Some dubstep artists are good such as Zomboy, Benga, Mala, Coki. This other stuff like transformer anal sex is just shite.

You get some good pieces/artists but overall it's just kids that fuck up their dynamics and can't admit they have no idea what they're doing. But as I said it can be good when done well... but it doesn't take ANY skill, I prefered the older stage of electronic music were it took 6 months to take what it takes 5 seconds to do now... were everything was alot more personal and were the whole 'I own a computer and pirated some software and done something, so I'm a musician' bollocks didn't exist although that bollocks has helped some odd examples become famous were they wouldn't off 20 years ago. Anyways yeah, usually sucks but can be good.
