This is a sort of philosophical question that I was thinking about today. I enjoy everything about video games, I like art, and I find technology/computers interesting, but I'm also pretty smart (I have about 95% booksmarts and 5% social skills).
My question to everyone is: should people like me do what they are interested in, and possibly waste their intelligence, or use their intelligence to the full potential?
Honestly, I feel too guilty to not take advantage of my intelligence, so I think I should keep my interests as hobbies and a side sort of thing.
By the way, if I was unclear, when I say "do", I'm talking about college/career.
I myself consider myself fairly intelligent and have taken advanced placement classes including AP Comp Sci.
Now I would say to do what you enjoy, but obviously that doesn't work fully. So people make choices between many factors like income, location, social status, etc... I am going to major in AP Comp Sci.: Game Design.
This may seem a bit of a ramble, but my point is to do what you love, unless the side benefits are more important to you.
