You know, I signed this petition but I know it'll do nothing. It's not like they give a fuck about people not buying NHL merchandise. In fact, the whole reason there is a lockout is because they don't know what to do with $3.3 billion in excess revenue from merchandise sales. So I highly doubt a drop in stuff being bought will suddenly make Daly go "oh shit! Ok GAME ON!"

Anyways, any news about the lockout or a season start date, please post it here.

Last I heard was November 2nd. Can anyone else confirm this?

That was from the optimism that came with the NHL offering a 50/50 split in revenue. From what I've been reading, that's all gone. Sadly it doesn't seem like the NHL will be dropping the puck. I've read in the past that most people felt a deal would get done around Black Friday, don't know if that still is the feeling.

Hi, I don't like you
Before this lockout most players said that they learned from the last lockout and that it wasn't worth losing a season over, some even telling the NBA players the same while they were locked out. Yet here we are about to lose another season.

The thought of only having basketball to watch after football season, is not a good thought, not a good thought at all.

Sounds like real optimism towards a deal getting done. Season would start around Black Friday with a 70 game season.
