(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I'm making this thread as I would like some advice on a tattoo I was thinking of getting. Also, I thought this thread could be used for people in a similar situation to post and get some help.

Anyway, I was thinking of getting the Blackbird from the cover of Alter Bridges album "Blackbird".
For those of you who have not seen it just check Google images for "alter bridge blackbird" and it will be the first result.

I have four reasons behind wanting this tattoo, and they are as follows:
1) The album is my favourite album
2) The song "Blackbird" on the album is possibly my favourite song
3) The song has great lyrics and mean a lot to me
4) It looks awesome

Anyway, the help that I was looking to get was on things such as placement, size and if I should get it at all?

Thanks for reading and I will be happy to help if any of you have similar questions.

Is it going to be your first tattoo? If it is your first, then I suggest you get a small tattoo so you can feel a needle in your skin. I've known people who wanted a tattoo badly but when it came to it they couldn't take the pain.

Also IMO don't get it where it is visible because it's going to be hard to get a job.

& finally, think about it a lot more not just one day, what I mean is don't regret it :p
Good luck on getting it=D or not getting it lol

depends on your body, that might look good on your lower back, or a little lower then your neck and maybe even your shoulder

1: Tattoos DO NOT hurt, I've had 11 done and my wife has 9
2: Tattoos should mean something to you imo
3: That design would look ok inbetween the shoulder blades or the back of the neck
4: Tattoos DO NOT hurt.... unless you're a little girl

Yeah this is my first. I have a very good pain threshold though and my brother has several and he says that they don't hurt. I was thinking the top of my back so it should be fine there regarding the jobs. I will spend a good amount of time deciding before I get it because I need to get the funds first. Thanks for your help man, it's much appreciated.

I have been wanting a tattoo for some time now, It all depends on if you are ok with it being there 60 years from now. Get a tattoo that means something to you.

I'm getting my last name on my back shoulder blade to shoulder blade here soon, then going back for a cross with my grandpa's name. Smile
