What has this site become?
This is exactly what happened when people started disliking NGU. It's trying to become a corporation. Like the staff "Management" and "Content Team." And who deserves the "status" of bold? What, in my opinion that it really is, is everyone here seems to take this site way to seriously. I know that's what I did when I was here.
What is Gammalabs? This is supposed to be a site where we'd come to talk to people who have similar interests - not somewhere that actually you have to follow rules - and have people compete to have the site run smooth. Everyone should just come, be chill, and not flame.
Was the site really low on active members/money? An energy drink lol?
Now people are going to say this is my opinion, but is this not what everyone else is thinking?
Back to the usergroup names: "Content Team" - I honestly think that is the most "gay" thing I've ever heard. And bold: Why is that such a big deal here? Honestly, no matter what anyone who's been staff should be former staff. Not a requirement, if you play one pro football game, you still were a pro. Like wtf?
"Oh, so and so doesn't deserve it" that's stupid, you guys really seem to think this site will run forever. Have fun while it lasts, not take something away that people deserve, like the non italicized names, that's stupid. They deserve bold just as much as the next guy.
Anyway this will probably get trashed, but I thought I'd share my opinion, I'd been here from the start, and noticed how it's changed. I was quiet, never said anything until now. But this is coming from someone who isn't part of the "community" anymore. If I was a new member, I'd think the same exact thing.

We can all wish NGU would be like this, but NGU hasn't even been close in a long time. The only time everyone was chill and didn't flame was probably when the site first started.
I have never heard of Gammalabs until NGU decided to plaster the background of the site with the ad, and I would never be interested in buying their product. As long as that background is gone, and it's helping out the site it doesn't bother me. That little side ad was disappointing though... Again why do premiums and elites who aren't supposed to have ads see ads? I adblocked it anyways, but still.
And I just want to add this too. If NGU is trying so hard to be "professional" why do we have 200 smilies with half (probably more) of them being internet memes? I also still stand with the fact that Elite should be only 1 color as having 10 different colors and a rainbow in the shoutbox/active users doesn't look professional either.
One last final thought is where the hell is Outsider in all this? I think he should be announcing these big decisions rather than just hearing that he agreed to it. Just like NGS, NGU isn't going to go anywhere without him."

Eh, I have to agree with the difference in this site. It used to not be like a corporation. Back in the good ol' 3.55 days. But, things change for a reason. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.
Moderators do state their opinion but some of them can be smart asses at times. That's cool with me, I'm not sensitive.
The whole "bold" situation is just ridiculous though. There's no point in arguing over that since you can pay to be Elite any time. Nobody is stopping you. I learned a long time ago that most standard members (non prems) are idiots though.

As for people being stuck in the old days well the old days of the forums were better, FACT
I have no issues with the site progressing and getting better with REAL exclusives BUT certain things that NGU have done are bullshit, few things listed below
Ads for prems and elite, now grow the site all you want but you are not allowed to advertise a feature ie no ads for paying members and then have ads.
The Elite Shoutbox, this still isn't back is it?
The site wants to become professional yet you have these 4chan wannabe meme smileys
Elite as a name, just another call of duty thing for the site yet you guys want to branch out away from just CoD.......
Over 18 section..... lets put one in place but if members are too young we will just change their DoB...... nice move Dave :dumb: Guess you've never heard of the IWF
Also I thought we upgraded the server..... the site lags like it's 2009, when you said upgrade did you mean downgrade?

I have to say I agree with Gamb with the way things are all dun goofed up. But I'm not going to even say why because I've posted my suggestions in many threads similar to this one and any negative comment is ruthlessly refuted by staff. That being said with any new changes the members just get automatically pissed. All in all, no-one talks to anyone. It seems, here, that being right is the most important thing of all.

You should know that I dont mean that all staff members that show their opinions are smart asses. I'm talking about the ignorant staff members that dont like a member , so when they post a thread they post a stupid post.
Example #1 , that person from the Gaming Squad (Dont even know if thats considered staff?) but he came on and posted a unnecessary Meme. You know you cant have staff members doing that.

People can't accept the new site even though the new site is for the better. People have always been smart asses on here but not just moderators and staff. The only people that get hurt over someone being a smart ass toward them are sensitive. Threads like these pop up from time to time but the OP is just setting himself up for hate.

This site is still the same one you joined all them years ago.
Yes things have changed
"Content Team." Was due to the supers doing little to no moderation and be given certain roles. Given a new title which makes sense.
You can still come here chill talk to people and have fun. Nothing has changed the forum rules have always been in place should be respected from the start.
We are not that strict when it comes to rules trust me i been on sites which are harsher.
As for the former staff issue we have talked about this and decided the current setup is fine. Thanks for the feedback and needa made a post about it. We do listen.
Gammalabs thing we hear you on that next time maybe elite/premium won't see it. Also next time going for a company with a strong gaming connection at first sight would be a better choice. It awas a good test and we got something good out of it
As for outie posting it quicker for the other admins to do it and does the same thing something to take note of.
And the thread is not trashed yet =D
