What has this site become?

This is exactly what happened when people started disliking NGU. It's trying to become a corporation. Like the staff "Management" and "Content Team." And who deserves the "status" of bold? What, in my opinion that it really is, is everyone here seems to take this site way to seriously. I know that's what I did when I was here.

What is Gammalabs? This is supposed to be a site where we'd come to talk to people who have similar interests - not somewhere that actually you have to follow rules - and have people compete to have the site run smooth. Everyone should just come, be chill, and not flame.

Was the site really low on active members/money? An energy drink lol?

Now people are going to say this is my opinion, but is this not what everyone else is thinking?

Back to the usergroup names: "Content Team" - I honestly think that is the most "gay" thing I've ever heard. And bold: Why is that such a big deal here? Honestly, no matter what anyone who's been staff should be former staff. Not a requirement, if you play one pro football game, you still were a pro. Like wtf?

"Oh, so and so doesn't deserve it" that's stupid, you guys really seem to think this site will run forever. Have fun while it lasts, not take something away that people deserve, like the non italicized names, that's stupid. They deserve bold just as much as the next guy.

Anyway this will probably get trashed, but I thought I'd share my opinion, I'd been here from the start, and noticed how it's changed. I was quiet, never said anything until now. But this is coming from someone who isn't part of the "community" anymore. If I was a new member, I'd think the same exact thing.

We can all wish NGU would be like this, but NGU hasn't even been close in a long time. The only time everyone was chill and didn't flame was probably when the site first started.

I have never heard of Gammalabs until NGU decided to plaster the background of the site with the ad, and I would never be interested in buying their product. As long as that background is gone, and it's helping out the site it doesn't bother me. That little side ad was disappointing though... Again why do premiums and elites who aren't supposed to have ads see ads? I adblocked it anyways, but still.

And I just want to add this too. If NGU is trying so hard to be "professional" why do we have 200 smilies with half (probably more) of them being internet memes? I also still stand with the fact that Elite should be only 1 color as having 10 different colors and a rainbow in the shoutbox/active users doesn't look professional either.

One last final thought is where the hell is Outsider in all this? I think he should be announcing these big decisions rather than just hearing that he agreed to it. Just like NGS, NGU isn't going to go anywhere without him."

Honestly, what are you talking about? Professionalism is important when dealing with ANYTHING.
As for the bold, admins choose who deserves bold. If you were a shit member after you retired or were demoted then obviously you don't deserve bold.


Gammalabs is a company that sells energy and sports drinks, they are running a contest where you can win a dream vacation, you get to shoot live ammo at explosive targets from a helicopter mini-gun. Many gamers and gaming sites are participating, including optichecz and WoodysGamertag. It's a great opportunity for ngu to get noticed. So, why exactly are you getting mad about that?

Are you fucking kidding? Are you saying people shouldn't follow the rules? Without rules and guidelines, everything would be hectic.
I'm pretty sure NGU is doing fine on money, if it ain't broke, make it better.
