I choose a Nissan 350z you can find on Ebay in the US for around 10k and they go around 150 with a limiter. take the limiter off and they are closer the US models can get close to 165-170

A Subaru Impreza WRX.. could find one for around $10k U.S. if you look hard enough and come stock with around 230 HP. That's all stock, stock turbo.. but that car has serious modification potential.

Like 420 said. I'd go with a Subaru WRX. I personally like the car because of the sexy Subaru blue and body styling plus most used Subaru's are reasonably priced. I just hate the ones that people rag out and trash and try selling them for over $10k.

I have a WRX '05.. Not the world rally blue, a pearl white one. It's one hell of a ride but I'm ready to buy an 07 STi, but still need more money. I'm loving this car and the engine sound is so sexy lol I got it for $13k used, wasn't trashed, no frame damaged, stock, supre clean. I got lucky when I came across it. But, insurance is high for me though :(

Fastest stock car you could possibly buy would be a 1998-2002 Pontiac Trans Am with the 5.7.

However, I would buy an E46 BMW 330ci or aforementioned STI.

Jaguars are always quite reasonably priced for how much car you get. You could pick up a 380bhp one for well under 10k, example You must login or register to view this content.

All stock? I'd have to go with the MK3 Supra. If you're lucky, you may find an MK4 Supra in ok condition for $10k, but that's if you're REALLY lucky.
