It's coming to that time of year where families gather together for Christmas in the warmth and shelter of their homes laughing and playing endlessly, but there are some who are missing loved ones, mums, dads, sisters and brothers.. people who are living their lives as you read this dodging bullets and living in a world where they know that they could be injured or worse at any moment thinking about their loved ones and wondering if they will ever see them again. These people are the US & UK Forces and other friendly forces in the battle in Iraq
I have many friends serving in the forces and they will not be spending time with their family this year maybe the next either, i have friends who passed away in the fight in Iraq whos families will have Christmas without even a phone call or letter.
It just brings tears to my eyes knowing that the good people fighting for our countries will spend Christmas thousands of miles away from home and their loved ones..
So when you sit around your tables with your loved ones, just think about those who aren't and just hope they will make it another year.
I will be Joining the Marines in 9 months time (waiting time) here in the UK and all i hope is that i make it through this with the support of my family and friends
TO THE GREAT PEOPLE SERVING OUR COUNTRIES, HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND GOD BLESS YOU!.
Please watch the video and you will feel how im feeling right now.
you say that now, but just imagne your dad fighting in the war i bet you wouldnt type such a fucking meaningless thing.
Well, my dad left me and my mom when I was about 8 months old so I could honesty care less about that post. I honestly have nothing against our soldiers, it's just that you posted it here just for us to watch a video. (Which I did watch).

i added the video to get your heart sinking in abit more about what i was saying, i would never use soliders as a excuse to watch a video nor will i make it just so you can watch these videos. this post was my full honest thought and the videos was to make you realise how lucky some of us are.
so please if you have nothing nice to say id appreiciate it if you pm'd me rather than on this post so we can talk about it more. thank you.
I do not support the military or the wars they cause.
its not a case of supporting war half of the people that are fighting dont even know why they have simply been sent to fight in iraq by our curropt governments, these are the people you should not accept not the people that are fighting couragiously on behalf of us people at home

The US and UK Military don't start wars. That would be considered Martial Law, however governments do. I'd also like to add on to this regarding one of you later post. Most people join the Military not to go fight in wars but to serve their country. From repairing aircraft to working on trucks etc. Plus you get really good pay, benefits and a nice retirement. With that not everyone joins the Army, Navy, Marines or Air Force most people enlist in the National Guard or the Coast Guard.

Zero respect.
I would give them my support and respect if they were fighting for an actual cause and knew it would help their country, but all this does is increase the debt deficit.
Like I said, most people don't join the Military to go fight in a war. It's an assumed risk. Back when my dad first joined the military he joined the Air Force to avoid going to Vietnam(near the end of the war) and his brother joined the Army. Ironically enough my dad ended up getting tdy to Vietnam and all over Asia whereas my Uncle ended up state side. It's all about luck.
