Fun fact though different calculators will output different results... some will output 288 and others will output 2. It just depends if the calculator is scientific or not.

It's B. 288. You do the parenthesis first so that (12). Then you do the multiply/division part, but from left to right, so 48/2=24. Then the 24(12)=288.

... easy.

48/2 ( 9 + 3)
( 9 + 3) = (12)

48/2 (12)
48/2 = 24
24 (12)
288.
