Can’t trickshot me!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); We played Hide and Seek in the dark when we were little. We went as far as stuffing a blanket under the upstairs door to ensure no light entered the basement. “Hide and Spook” was what we called our version. The dark allowed the hider to carefully sidle along the walls to a new spot if they felt that the searcher was near. Sometimes Eric would yell or pound a wall to make me gasp if he couldn’t find me. One summer night we had snuck down to the basement after our parents went to bed. Each of us had to be extra quite. I was hiding from Eric, but both of us were trying to stay hidden from our parents. That’s why I was so surprised when I heard a thud across the basement. I gasped, but not too loudly. After a few minutes I was convinced he hadn’t heard me. For an hour or so I remained in the corner, curled into a ball. There was nothing to do but focus on the shifting grey blotches in the dark and wait. I wondered how blind people could ever be sure if they had woken up or not.

Another hour went by and I let myself go—the urine soaking through my underwear and then through my shorts. It got to the point where I wanted to be found. The silence was so full and complete that I was too afraid to speak, so I got up and decided that I would be the searcher instead.

My left foot had gone completely numb, forcing me to limp clumsily. As I got close to the washing machine, my numb foot stepped in the puddle that had leaked out and I slipped. My fall wasn’t too bad, but when I was getting back up the tips of my fingers brushed something clammy. I reached out and felt Eric’s foot. “I got you,” I whispered. I shook his foot a little. It felt cold and heavy. “Eric? Hey, Eric?”

Do a barrel roll!
I lost you at "Eric's foot"...
Besides that pretty nice story, has potential to be more scary though.

Umm...

"“I got you,” I whispered. I shook his foot a little. It felt cold and heavy. “Eric? Hey, Eric?”"

is saying that he's dead.

Do a barrel roll!
The ending was good, and gay at the same time. Yea, he's dead, but since it ended, we have no idea what happened to him. Wouldve been better if you kept going.
