It depends on the genre of the music. What mood I'm in. What game it is etc... To me it's a fail

i dont have to hear where zombies are, but i do have to hear if someone shoots so i can look on my map. dont matter if i have my dubstep cranking, if i can't know when to look at the map, ill die, then eat a lot of food cause im mad.

racing games on the other hand, if i play my music, you won't win

I need to focus. I can never play well with music unfortunately.

Pretty much depends on whether I'm in the mood or not. I usually keep music to a minimum.

For some reason heavy metal helps me focus a lot better in multiplayers.

In most cases it would simply distract me. There's only two or three games/series I'd listen to music while playing. (SR/Midnight Club/GTA)

If the game relies on audio to have an advantage, no. If not, yes.

For me a lot of the times it does, even on Online COD reason being is I tend to rage a good bit with that said, music keeps me calm. The madder I get the worse I play if I can stay calm and content then I'm usually better.
