We're trying to gauge if vBookie is still a popular feature.. we understand some of you still enjoy it but we have to look at it in proportion with the entire user-base and decide if it's still used as much as it once was and is worth keeping.

Please vote in the poll and we'll make a decision that we feel is best for the website and its users. The results of this poll (yes to no ratio) will not make up our decision in its entirety, as although I would expect it to favour 'yes' (as the people who would bother voting in this are likely to be in favour, those who aren't are just disinterested) it is more of a matter of how many people do.

"clearly its of no use what so ever if ive never used it/had it advertised to me", there you go again! Assuming its 'of no use what so ever' because YOU have never used it..

ROLL TIDE!!!
I know that vBookies are over worked! I know that if you are a vBookie, you Like doing it, because if you don't. You wont do it, lol.

I voted to Keep It! Why?

1. It literally isn't that damn big...Seriously saying freeing up space is a logical reason? How big is it? 50MB? I wouldn't think even that big.

2. If only 30% of the user base uses it. Then it don't use that much resource either. I know settling the events might be a strain on the CPU. 'But'. If only 30 or 50 people betted. It wouldn't be anything to the server. Especially if you really are on multible dedicated servers.

3. Even if 10 users used it. It would be worth keeping. That is "Users" using it.

4. People say you get to many vBux from it? Please just stop this. vBux value has been argued for "way" to long. Like REP. Just stop. Please.

5. Like most have said. If you don't use it, don't mean it is useless. || Do you drive? "No"? OH! So cars are useless! Right?!? Ok..See how stupid that sounds, lol.

6. I personally think it is a great thing! Love it! Probarably the single most greatest mod ever made for VB!. Smile

Please no one take my post as an attack toward them. I literally didn't read the whole thread. I read 3 pages, lol. I'm not meaning to go after anyone, even if it seems like it.

Later guys! (ROLL TIDE)

Is a way to bet on sports & have Fun.
& its obvs guys who Voted No dont like sports or dont have time to post on it.

But Sports = Life

I don't hate sports and I do have the time to bet on events. I just don't choose to because I'm not much of a gambler. As much as I hate saying this vBookie is a lost cause. Only a select few(by few I mean group) participate in bookie events. And not only that but the vBux is inflated to such an extreme that people can give out millions and bounce back within days.

I see an overwhelming biased from vBookie moderators... are they really voting to keep it because they enjoy it or because they don't want to lose their position as event staff. This shit really reminds me of the removal of Sectional Moderator... literally everyone bitched about it's removal. The removal of Sectional Moderator affected no one but Sectional Moderators and other members of the moderation team but it sure caused an uproar among members.

In the end... it's a lost cause, deal with it.

I voted Yes.
vBookie is something I look forward too every week. I love it..
You all say "We get millions" If you knew we can only bet 50,000 and a lot of the time the odds arent like 300/10 so yeah

And if people are complaining about vBookie because we'l get lots of vBux why don't they enter? vBux is something virtual that you can never hold or keep. So if it gets removed because people don't like people getting more of a virtual thing then it will be really annoying.

Please don't remove vBookie Happy

If you vote no because YOU don't use it then why don't you think about the rest of the community who do?

I used to use it everyday back in the day and was the richest user on ngu for a while. To be honest it isn't good for the value fo vBux, they rapidly inflate the value of vBux. In the end before I decided to quit using the vBookie, I viewed betting on it as a chore that I had to do in order to gain vBuxs because people asked extravagant amounts of vbuxs for stuff in the auctions. The vbookie also wasn't fun because there wasn't really a risk of using it, in the long term you'd make money. To make it more interesting and risky you should have Vegas Style Odds, which would also decrease the inflation of vBuxs.
