Hey guys I just need some help with a History project I'm doing.
The goal:
Draw 5 multi-layer symbols that represent the Australian imperialism; meaning that each symbol has to have 3+ meanings to it. The symbols can not be literal. For example you cant draw a knife with blood and say they were killed or something like that. Instead it has to be something similar to, A conch shell because it resembles the rock hard heads they had, they emptiness, and the color representing the races involved.
What I need help with:
I need help constructing the 5 symbols.
The Australian imperialism was when Britain took over because they needed a place to put all the prisoners captured in England. It also continued due to the Gold Rush and need of land for the population.
A Cricket bat as prison bars with a image of the outback behind it.
Sydney opera house looks like a set of waves , could easy recreate that in the form of earth being turned over for farmland.
Conch shell could be turned into some gold or anything else that of worth out of the ground.
Throw in some body art showing people on the way across the sea. So you draw a arm which shows a ship coming from the UK and travelling across the sea.
Could do something on ned kelly being part of the out back (outlaws).
Depends on what you want the symbols to focus on. Take a part of the history and mix it with something else.
Helpful ?
