(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a 1984 Nissan 300zx turbo and I was wondering how much does popping the clutch hurt a car? I've never done it before but I was curious to know what would happen.

Right.

As your going along (pressing the gas) kick the clutch (push it in and out as fast as you can) it'll make the engine rev up making the wheels spin up.

Its one way of making a RWD car drift.

Unnecessary wear on the clutch and destroy it.. Depending on how many RPM's your at depends on what part could potentially be damaged...

Popping the clutch is normally done when the car is still.. You basically are attempting to "burn out".

Clutch Kicking seems to be a method for drifting... There is the potential to fuck up your vehicle, but I am not certain of the exact risk. From the minimal research I did it seems to be a more common method of those who do not understand basic physics, weight transfer and how cars work.

How do you not know if you have a clutch? If it has a manual transmission, it will have a clutch! You can do it to drift. But don't flip your shit ha

Oh. Yeah my 300zx is RWD so I could do that but I'm not going to. I just enjoy cruising around in it. It has classic plates though so I don't drive it that much.

I know I have a clutch I was just curious of the affects of popping the clutch. My step dad told me not to so I don't but I just wanted to know what would happen.

I miss driving a shift-stick... It's always so much more fun than an automatic.

Yeah. My step dad has a 1963 Triumph TR3 and that is really fun to drive. I like driving my 300zx better though cause the clutch is smoother and it has a turbo charger. What car did you have?

Let lose in your car a little bit, but don't be too stupid! It's always nice to have a little bit of fun. Me and my friends go out nearly every night after school and mess around in our cars.
