(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a 1984 Nissan 300zx turbo and I was wondering how much does popping the clutch hurt a car? I've never done it before but I was curious to know what would happen.

Can’t trickshot me!
You will break teeth of your gear cogs is the end result of it. It goes more in depth than this, BUT! I thought Google would be your friend with this > so take your title and copy it in to Google, congratulations without the result..

Don't mean to end your discussion you have rights to post it here. Google could of gave you a faster answer than one of us and you would of been half way through reading something interesting by now, MAYBE! JUST MAYBE!

- not hating nor am I been sarcastic.
- srsface.

On a side note, if you change gear slightly wrong while using the clutch it crunches right? Well that would be your cogs trying to slip in to place because you didn't change it correctly, you're not supposed to crash box a car however most people find it relevant to crash box bikes (Superbikes? I don't know) but I know many crashbox Motocross bikes! (Even Professional Riders!)..

Thanks for your response. BTW I did Google it but the answers I got I did not understand because I am not too car savvy.

I don't know what a clutch kick is. Like I said I'm not too car savvy.

You briefly “kick” down the clutch while remaining on the throttle. Revving up the engine and releasing the clutch upsets the balance.

Its a drifting technique.

You have a clutch. You press down on it really fast when going along. It'll rev up the engine making the power go to the driving wheels. (yours in rear wheel drive)

So it'll spin the rear wheels up.

I just push the clutch in when I need to shift gears or stop. It doesn't rev up when I push in the clutch unless I hit the gas too.
