(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); By football i mean what some refer to as "soccer". Personally, i don't even see how this is even a debate. The sport started later (American Football), Football is the most watched sport in the world, it is hands more fast paced, and the most money is in invested in football. Granted i can not change opinions, but i can destroy arguments :p

not in intellectual discussions because this is not a topic with the depth of the likes of abortion.

Plus, in American Football, anyone can play it. There is a position for everyone, whether linemen for bigger guys or backs for smaller guys. The scoring in American Football is also much more interesting. I want to see my favorite team put up multiple touchdowns, not 2 "goals" lol.

Of course, I know I'll get groaned for this by some UK fgts, but idgaf. This is my opinion and I am entitled to it. This debate will never end because everyone has their own opinion. If you think soccer is better, I respect your opinion but trust me, you will not change my opinion lol!

Granted i can't argue what you find boring. However, football is the most watched sport in the world as stated. Moreover,a touchdown is like 6 points so that who bs of ohh 1-1 is an argument that only narrow minded people give. As for best athletes i beg to differ completely:

i can give you like 30+ examples if you want i consider a true athlete someone who has an astonishing mixture of speed, strength, balance, and class. Also in american football, you guys stop after every play we don't belive in that faggotry.

I have a question for you before you respond why do those arab oil kings invest in football as apposed to american football? CR7 makes money to blow compared to the giants in american football.

Foot - Ball... As you can see it should be played with feet, not hands. So American "Football" shouldn't be called what it is. ./Argument end.

Listen, I can understand why you like soccer better but me personally, I like football (by the way, when I say football, I mean American football). Soccer is definitely more fast paced but so what? Basketball is pretty much the same pace as soccer. So is hockey. Also, if you actually watched a football game you would know that there's not much of a delay between plays. Sometimes none at all. Of course more money is going to be invested in soccer. It's the most popular sport in the world (I have to admit, soccer is VERY popular). Let me put it like this, the population of the United States is 313,914,040 (2012 estimate). The world population, minus the United States, is 6,659,824,393 (2011 estimate). So which amount of people do you think is going to have more money? Both sports have excellent athletes so I can't say anything about that. There are people who live a breath soccer. However, they're are people who do the same with football.
TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen good soccer games. It's definitely a great sport. However, have you ever saw a good football game? I'm not saying one is better than the other, I'm just stating my opinion & backing it up.

Mabye I'll try watching rugby. I can't watch (American) football since the season is over. I thought about soccer but it's not relevant here in America (and it's not my thing even though I watch it every once in a while). Basketball is alright but I like playing it better than watching it. Not particularly fond of any other sports.

I've seen a couple a football games hence how i created an opinion on it. Now, you admitted that hockey, basketball, and football all have a similarity; which is the lack of pauses. To me, a sport should have little-no pauses. Moreover, a lot of investments come from back wards countries (not to offend you middle eastern brahs) based on the countries money/oil. Therefore, please don't use population as an excuse. Finally, the u.s does have a league the MLS.

Cool, you should, it's a great sport. And we're half way through the Six Nations at the moment (the massive tournament between England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy)

Here's a video of Wales playing Rugby Smile
