The club says that their captain is expected to go on injured reserve on Thursday.

The Tampa Bay Times reported that Lecavalier was hurt in Tuesday's game against the Florida Panthers.

Lecavalier, 32, has seven goals and 15 assists in 26 games this season for the Lightning. He missed 18 games last season with a broken right hand.
