(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was looking at all the recent updates and I was recollecting how far I have seen the site progress through the past two years. Of course, there are plenty more people that joined wayyyyyyyyyyyyy before me, but I do not think I am considered a newfag anymore Smile . This had me think about why I joined NextGenUpdate in the first place.

The oldest memory of NGU I have was finding the site. I was looking for all the biggest gaming forums. It turned out that I had already registered about 2 months prior but I did it because I was trying to get into the gaming scene and that meant joining gaming communities.

I remember looking for COD 4 challenge lobbies and early MW2 challenge lobbies at first. I had no idea what other content the site had at the time. All I knew was NGU = Challenge Lobbies, all because I was a nub. All I thought was, "Kewl!!! Challenge lobby, brahhhhh!!! Damn why you gotta pay for dis shizzzz???".

Since then, I have grown to enjoy the community and to make some friends that I feel as though I know personally, such as ALT. I have learned more information on this site than I have ever learned in any classroom. Whether it was useless information, or the latest headliners for the PS3, etc., I used NGU as my primary source of information. I have shared some of my personal content with the site and have enjoyed the content of others. The SB could, honestly, entertain me for days. I have discovered new hobbies that I enjoy because of NGU such as Social Engineering, Hacking, Programming, and hey... even being social. NGU is full of so many unique characters! I no longer have my PS3, so the site doesn't serve as much purpose as it used to for me. But I can not get tired of this place. NGU is like my second home and I am damned proud of it.

Sorry if this thread seems a little hard to follow. I just got off work have been up for 26 straight hours. Please forgive my fallacies.

My question for you is: What made you want to join NextGenUpdate?

I joined for the saves, there are a lot of really great ones here and I just like the convenience of not having to grind certain trophies so I can get back to enjoying the game instead.

Well because TTG Ip banned me. Thats not the only reason. Thats just the main reason. Ive been looking into NGU for a while. Cause was getting really tired of TTG's Fag admins. But what really pissed me off was. My TTG account got hacked. I had gifted over 24 people gold. And the hacker made alot of posts that were against the rules. Then when a admin finally got my account back. 10 mins later. I was IP banned for breaking the rules. So i finally went through with it and joined NGU. And relised how better the admins are. And how much CHEAPER the premium is and how many more extra features you get with it. Smile Btw. Im a strait NOOB to NGU all i do is host Cod lobbies on ps3.

I joined because when I got my first 3.55 PS3, I was completely lost and needed advice on how to use it better.

Today Will Be Different
Well once upon a time, there was a site called NGB. Suddenly everyone left and I was stranded with nowhere to go. One year after being a complete nub and one of the few people who frequented NGB someone sent me a link to ngu over MSN.

Since then I've been an active member, however I still remember the lonely days and nights on ngb. tears
