(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm fed up with California. It's time for me to move out of this shit-sucking state. Been researching some different states and it seems Portland has a good deal of work in my field. So I'm considering moving there.

Anyone here live in Portland? I'd like to know what the good parts of it are and what areas to avoid. Most of you are probably too young to worry about cost of living so I guess I can research that on my own. But if you know some good cheap apartments I can get into quickly as a place to stay while I look for a better place, that would be helpful.

Thanks

Eh, I've heard some good and some bad about Portland and Oregon itself. What exactly is your field of work? Not going to lie if you could find work here in Florida, more specifically my part I could definitely point you to prime real estate and depending on what city you live in the cost of living will vary.

Don't live in Portland but I know some things about it. It's full of liberal-hipster types and that's the feel any place in the good parts of the city will give you. Best neighborhoods are anywhere in the NW and SW. 1 bedroom apartments there range from $700-$1600 a month and there's lots of new buildings for when you settle down. There's lots of white people everywhere and only 6.3% of people in the city are black. I've also heard that the main way people get around is by biking...which further shows the liberal-hipsterness. Overall it's a pretty sweet place to live and is always on lists on top cities to live in; it ties Seattle as the most favorably-viewed city in the US.

Well I absolutely hate hipster-liberal faggots, so I'll most likely not be going to the metro area of Portland. I've been looking around the areas of Beaverton, Wilsonville, Aurora, Donald.. They're like 10-20miles out from the city. I've found shitty 1 bedrooms for way cheaper than what you posted above. I've even found 4bd houses for cheaper up there. It's insane the polar opposites of price ranges for cost of living between here and there.

Yesterday it took me 20 minutes to drive 3 miles down here in LA. I fucking hate this place.
