Ich liebe NGU!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It's been a long time since NGU was on vBulletin 3, and while I don't come here often, I do like to stop by every now and again. Just wanted to praise all of the active members, and of course the past and present staff, for their work done on the site. It looks absolutely fantastic and far more professional than it had looked in the past.

If you weren't around in early 2011, here's what the site looked like, and what every member had to deal with:

You must login or register to view this content.

You must login or register to view this content.

Gone are those days, when there was a LOT more ridiculous drama than there is now.

I know that because I have a whopping 106 posts and virtually no rep, my opinion doesn't mean much, but as a fellow forum administrator, I have to say, Outsider/Travis, beautiful job with this thing, and I hope I'm around when we finally reach our LONG-awaited goal of 1,000,000 registered members.

It certainly was. I still cannot believe shiver just deleted his account. It's nice to have the owner around though. Always bothers me a bit when the owner isn't around.

You're not a forum admin either, are you? :p

You and me both, brother.

I owned a forum 3-1/2 years ago based around Runescape. It was a MyBB forum and I had about 1.5k registered members. Lasted about 2 months before it got shut down due to "copyright violations".

I had about 50 people go onto the forums each day actively. It was about botting, trading, bot serial sharing etc, hacking accounts, etc.

About as far as I ever got with creating and owning a forum. Never had ads on the site and just set it up and monitored it. Kinda became a small underground forum.

I really miss vBulletin 3, those were the days. Hell the amount of drama and shit that went down then was nothing compared to what goes down nowadays. I would do anything to go back in time. :p

I'm pissed, I wasn't online at this time. :fa: but yeah, I loved vb3. Personally june 2010-may 2011 was my favorite time on the site.

A clean well developed site is something I root for but to aim for professionalism makes it sound like a business.

that's always been my stand on this site. People can't take jokes anymore. Well anymore haven't since probably 2011.
