It's a dysfunctional mess is what it is. You have connectors within your brain, if they are not properly receiving and sending through electrical impulses; you have nothingness.

We have multiple areas of our brain that decide our memories, our abilities, and our instincts. You remove a part of that, the cells die within 10 minutes thus anything along with it is gone.
