People around the world who aren't American and have no American relations are saying "pray for the families" of the victims yet no one talks about the Iraq bombings. They are human beings too. Just because where the live in the world gets a lot of negative attention recently doesn't justify the fact that the bombings were worse and a lot of people died and were injured. Why are Americans more important than Iraqis in the eyes of the world? They aren't.
I have been following what you have been saying, and I get the point you are trying to get across. The world see's America as more important for a number reasons which have already been mentioned. Yes, that doesn't mean that American citizens are anymore important than citizens of other countries. But, the world is about money and those who sit on top...
Someone else mentioned that bombings happen in Iraq all the time, and he was head on as to why no one is paying attention. I know you said that this bombing was different than past ones; but, the title of the articles do no suggest that. For example, I live in a region which has 2 very bad cities. These cities often have gang violence and murders almost daily... I do not read every article about those cities because it is overwhelming. I will read one or two if the article is titled in a way which gives it the appearance that it is unique from all the other forms of violence and tragedy. Just like I am more likely to read an article focused on my city or the cities that neighbor mine. Again it is due to the fact that many people have become 'desensitized' (?) to that subject manner regarding that region. And the impact the event has on them, in regards to how personal the event may be.
