(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Friday morning I went in and got my wisdom teeth removed. Other than the swelling, occasional pain and soft diet the experience wasn't that bad. Now I'm sure some people are curious about the experience and I guess I could go into detail about what happened.

I stayed up until 6am and woke up at 8am to get ready for my appointment. Thankfully I took a shower the night prior so I didn't have to take one in the morning. Once I got up I put on some sweat pants and a t-shirt since I knew it was going to be cold from prior consultation. Once I arrived there with my mother I checked in, filled out some paperwork to acknowledge/give consent that I was undergoing surgery.

Once that was done it was a matter of minutes until I was called back. And once I was in the back they put on the typical things, blood pressure cuff, the chest things, and the IV(intravenous therapy). Sadly I didn't figure out what drug they used for the anesthesia, and since I was a bit cold they put some blankets on me. ^^

Shortly after the doctor/oral surgeon walked in and asked if I was ready. He then hit something on the IV which allowed the liquid to enter into my vein and not even seconds later I was gone. Of course once they were done with the operation the anesthetic was ceased and they waited for me to come through I guess. Shortly thereafter I was put into a wheelchair and was wheeled out to my mothers SUV.

I vaguely remember the trip home, I do remember certain things that I actually focused on like putting my feet on the foot rest for the wheel chair and going around one particular corner etc. I was prescribed Percocet, Ibuprofen and some anti-dizzy pill which actually intensifies the oxy in the Percocet lol. But the best part of the whole thing was the anesthesia, fucking amazing in my opinion. I would love to experience that shit again mainly because it's instant and you don't remember shit when you're unconscious and then you do shit and don't even recall it. And just a heads up I should be back to full operation by this Friday if anyone is curious about my mysterious missing in action.

I was one of them ones that didn't have wisdom teeth, but had to have my 12yr molers removed they took the place of wisdom teeth, I think I was lucky the recovery was easy I was able to eat regular food like 2 days after the procedure but had to watch the gaps and make sure no food got behind there and infected it, but other than that I felt I had a pretty easy time with getting them removed I figured I would've had some swelling only a few hours after I had them removed, but hope you go through a quick and easy recovery good luck man.

Same, except I had one that was actually impacted so instead of just removing one the oral surgeon convinced me to get all four removed. And damn, they only used a local anesthetic? I'd be raging if they tried doing that shit to me lol.

I had a horrible taste the day after, it went away when I actually rinsed my mouth with warm salt water which makes me gag. :x

You're so lucky! When I got my wisdom teeth out they only gave me hydrocodone which wasn't all that much fun.. Be prepared for the giant holes in your gums though, no one warned me about them when I got them out and I thought the doctor messed up my stitches. I got them done in January and I still get food stuck back there :n:

I remember reading the aftercare paper and it mentioned that when the sutures dissolve and come out naturally that there would be big holes in my mouth since the wound would heal from the inside out. And you're still have them four months later... I'm definitely not gonna enjoy that. :/

They're still there but they pretty much heal up 2 months after or so. I had a dry socket on the left side which made it heal slower, the one on my right is pretty much sealed up, theres just a little bump left Upside Down Happy
