Many posts are much better than the op's thread, but have no legitimate form of recognition for the other members to see. I can't even tell who gave me a thumbs up?
Please make thumbs up visible on the post or bring back the like system.
I would rather see thanks brought back for posts, as the only way to get a thanks now is to create a thread, which MIGHT have motivated this thread....
:lol: and allow some of the smilies back into the forums :p

My biggest complaint... and I did take this up before it was changed.
Is that it might discourage other members from helping.
For instance in the request section... the OP should not get any option for thanks... as it is the user replying who really is answering the request, and hence did the work.
I thanked your thread... not that you need rep (cause you don't Mr. Blue Star) but because it was a rare opportunity to use it!

On a serious note, what Gandalf said has logic behind it. Handing out +150 all the time isn't the best thing to do as you don't feel someones post was "that" good to deserve it but it was good. It needs to be sorted out or else the thumbs up and thumbs down needs to give and take rep.

i like the attempt that we are going for but it looks like a generic ripoff, lets go back to the old one we had
