Not to call you out da-legenda, I have seen numerous posts like this.

Honestly, why do people care about post count? Anybody can get a lot of posts by posting in 1000+1000 games and stuff, etc. Post count just seems pointless to me really.

A higher post count makes people feel superior to people with lower post counts. Even if they don't realize it, they are usually making +count posts because it makes them feel good about the size of their e-penis. It's the same way with everyone wanting to be a mod.

+ thanks for making me laugh.

yea thats the sad truth about forums.

at the end of the day a large post count doesnt always make a good member its whats in the posts that counts, theres a couple of guys ive been seeing lately who only have like 200-600 posts but their posts are really helpful and 4+ lines long which is the kinda of people we need on NGU IMO.

In my opinion post count does matter, it shows how active you are. Also short posts aren't always bad, if short posts were really that bad then the minimum amount of characters would be increased. Most people go to the forum games section to get their post count up and that's where all the one word posts and then loads of full stops or something are posted so I hope you don't go there otherwise you might get upset. Also please note that this was a fairly long post and it has no real meaning, I could have easily summed this up in alot less words but apparently length means more quality.

Depends, Why do people ask rhetorical questions?

Want to know why?
As people have said, people think that if they have a high post count, they have a higher chance of getting mod. Let me remind you of this saying: "Quality not Quantity".

Daddy's home.
It's also the fact that the higher post count, the more recognised you are on the forum. Like think of a name of a person on here and make it a none mod. Then look at their post count. You instantly know who they are because they post a lot, and not always useful posts. I see a lot of people starting thread as well that are the most pointless ones ever and have no relevance to anything useful or interesting. I don't care about post count. You can look at my threads I have posted in and you will see most of them I make a point, advise or an opinion. I hardly ever do 1 lined posts because I find it pointless. IMO, if you're not going to help, why be here?

Edit, I found a post to support many peoples answers.

There is nothing that is slightly useful in there what-so-ever. It's just a bunch of people going on about pokemon/digimon and a load of shit. Notice the post count of the main posters?
