Post: Portable Hard Drive Same as External HDD..... ?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my brother wants an external HDD for his PS3 to put films on, Ive just ordered this You must login or register to view this content.

Obv it will need formatting to FAT32 to get it working via USB on the PS3, It is the same as an External HDD, :fa:

Yes, a portable HDD doesn't require a power supply and can function solely off of a USB socket. A non portable HDD usually comes with a plug you have to put in the wall and the plug the HDD into the USB. Long story short yeah they're both Hard drives.

yea if its usb powered it will work for ps3, tell him to also make a pc backup if he can in case it takes a shit

They are both HDDs so it should work on ps3
