(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Does an anesthesia injection hurt alot?

I'm thinking of getting my ingrown toe nail removed, and well if anybody has felt the injection before, would you describe the feeling? To know what I'm up against.

Cause I don't care about the procesure, I care about the injection whether it hurts alot or it dosen't that much, I'm getting to know this girl that she has gotten 7 injections (through time) and she describes the feeling that you toe will feel alot of pressure.

Anybody? o-o

It is definitely not nearly as bad as you will go in thinking it will be. I was terrified about it when I went because my toe already hurt bad by itself and thinking about getting a shot on top of that.......well.

It isn't that bad, really. They put a topical anesthetic on it first so you don't feel much other than pressure but it isn't that bad either.

I have had this done 3 times (nail grew back on one of the toes) The first 1-3 might hurt, depends where they do the first.

The last time I did it he started at the base of the toe, he was a little rough with the needle... After the first two it was more of pressure than pain. But, it felt really weird!!!! The weirdest part is when he had the needle in my toe and was spinning it around. Then there was the pulling on the toe, the nail did not want to come out. The laser flesh melting thing really made the room smell...

But, it is better to get it done with.. On two occasions I lived with it for over a year, sheets or simpily touching it was about 6-8 on the pain scale. It got to the point where I took a pair of cuticle trimmers and cut my toe open to dig the nail out (it was after doing that, I realized the doctor would be a better route).

If you are trimming your nail correctly and this still happens you might need to find wider shoes... I found a chart online and printed it off and I am supposed to wear 4E's (had a hell of a time finding any wide shoes in a local store; not a lot of "cooler" brands carry them either).

I get in-groan toe nails all the time, but I just pry the nail out with some toe nail clipers.

Myself and Enzo can relate to this as both of us have had work done on our toe nails I've had two nails removed.

The initial injection hurts a little bit but it's not lip biting sore, it's like taking a safety pin and stabbing yourself in the finger with it. As for the toe nail, don't think about getting it removed, do it! Trust me it's much better when walking and running you feel the difference after a few weeks once it's healed up.

ALSO, don't watch any videos on toe nail removal, it'll put you off. When you're getting it done look up and it'll be over within 3/4 minutes.

Hope this helped a little. :p

Today Will Be Different
I've never had a anesthesia injection, but when I was getting my wisdom teeth removed I went through general anesthesia with the whole IV and shit. Had me knocked out within five seconds and I think I might be addicted to it. Twas an experience that I want to go through again, minus the removal of wisdom teeth.

Hurah!
When I had mine removed, they used some kind of freezing spray to numb my toes instead of a shot. Then they inserted to sticks into the side of my toes. Throughout the procedure, it began to feel a lot better.
