Lol. Why do so many fucking morons get good jobs like this. This man clearly doesn't give a shit about invalidating peoples rights or having done illegal things to get this information from citizens but now is defending his actions.

He should be fired and his agency should be shut down for the shit it's done. Also anyone that say "lel nothing to hide nothing to fear" is a narrow minded **** and doesn't have a leg to stand on because that's not a valid argument as I've no doubt you've heard me say before, what next camera's everywhere chips under our skin with GPS in them mandatory XboxOne's in our homes spying on us. Then we have the bullshit internet censorship that the government keeps trying to push on us. FUCK this country is a corrupt shit hole I mean we had those cases of 3 lord's being caught supposedly lobbying last month too and all that gets done is a list made to try and stop this, they should make trying to lobby MP's and Lords illegal so that nobody would dare try it because clearly you can't trust the MP's and Lords not to do it themselves. Also "Lords" shouldn't even have a job fucking lazy ****s that get to sit on a government pay roll until they die and contribute nothing.

By letting them allow that. You make them allow the next shitty thing they want to do.

They do it step by step. So people don't really know what they are dealing with.

I love the New-age-slavery getting even worse ^^

you cant do anything to stop it, so why bother protesting?

That is the worst possible attitude you could have to something like this. Sure yeah, don't give a fuck, but as Satan said, what's next? It'll be something even more invasive but people will just begin to think it's normal and that it's the future why should I care until you get so far down the line that you have cameras analysing the perspiration level of you skin and the dilation of your eyes to determine whether or not you're likely to cause a problem at a place.

I'm genuinely worried because really what is next. Just look at the Xboxbone as an example of where people want to take things. They want you to think it's normal to have always online and a camera and microphone always listening and watching you. I don't want to have to resort to posting images of Mitt Romney saying it's happening, you could have stopped this but I feel I might have to, because I still want my freedom and privacy and at the end of the day, if I don't get it then I'll move to anther country.

Also if you find matters like this interesting or are at all concerned about your privacy and it being infringed by the government and other agencies, here's a great site full of like minded individuals that really care about it.

You must login or register to view this content.

Nick Pickles, director of privacy and civil liberties campaign group Big Brother Watch, said: “There are legal processes to request information about British citizens using American services and if they are being circumvented by using these NSA spying arrangements then that would be a very serious issue.

“The wider legal authority of the surveillance that the US Government has been undertaking is being disputed by very senior figures and it is essential that questions are asked at the highest levels to ensure British citizens have seen their privacy intruded upon without adherence to the proper legal process or any suspicion of wrongdoing.”
“If British citizens have had their emails and social media messages seized by the US Government without any justification or legal authority, serious questions must be asked at the highest levels.

“The revelations call into question the integrity of cloud services that are used by millions of non-US citizens every day, while setting a dangerous precedent that less-democratic regimes around the world may rush to copy. How many Members of Parliament, business leaders and key security figures use US-based services that may have been compromised?

“Surveillance without suspicion is an affront to a free society and it is essential that we get to the bottom of the NSA and US Government has being doing and how British citizens may have seen their privacy compromised on a vast scale.”

Wouldn't that be a good thing?

Simple answer: don't buy it... your agreeing to their terms to view/monitor you when you buy the stupid thing

No, it wouldn't. Before you know it people will just be arrested for thought crimes

I'm not going to buy it, but it makes it easy for other companies to justify doing the same thing. What if the PS4 then get's always online, then your DVD player BD player, then your tv has a camera that's always watching you and listening.

Worth the Weight
No one truly cares about people's rights and freedoms being taken away from people anymore. People would rather just vote for people who gives them the most shit and "security". I believe it was Benjamin Franklin that stated that those who give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. It shocks me how people say things like "Oh I have nothing to hide". If you people have nothing to hide, then you don't have a life. Everyone has something that people do not want to know about. This isn't even about hiding things, it's about minding their own business. If the government put up a camera in your house would you be okay with it because you have "Nothing to hide"? I sure as hell wouldn't. Collecting phone records and spying on phone calls (what has happened in the US) is not okay. Just because I have nothing to hide does not mean that the government can come in and look at what I have been doing in my private life. What has happened to this world, people are allowing this to happen in front of their own eyes...
