As the title says, what would you regard as a very terrifying experience or encounter? For me, when I was 12-13 my Uncle was robbed at gun point at his house close to mine about 2 minutes away. I couldn't sleep for months knowing that someone with intentions to harm, was still out in public. Very traumatizing.
Im not sure if this is really terrifing for some people but for me it is. It was the morning after the Aurora theater shooting. I had just woken up and had no idea that it happened whatsoever. 10 minutes after I wake up me and my brother discover that a shooting had happened last night and one of the things I find terrifiying is I literatly live RIGHT UP THE STREET from the theater that was shot up. Its scary to think a shooting happened so close to your home.
When I was 18 me and my friends decided to go on a road trip after we graduated high school up to Phoenix, AZ as we were on our way passing Gallup, NM which is where we stopped to grab a bite to eat we headed back onto I-40 and as we got back on my friends F-250 picked up a gust of strong canyon wind and made us lose control at 75MPH and we ended up flipping the truck 5-6 times I was in the back seat and all I remember is asking if everyone was ok and only 2 out of 5 of my friends responded so i looked into the front seat and all I could see was my friend bleeding from his mouth and spitting up blood I though I was gonna die it was a spur of the moment reaction.. We all got airlifted to UNM hospital back in albuquerque and my friend ended up passing away the doctors told us that he had died on impact but I to this day remember his eyes being open and physically spitting blood out.. That was probably the most scary things of my life thank god for all those people helped us
