Bread: French Baguette - toasted preferably.
Guts: You can put any kind of meat really, but for this specific one I prefer some sauteed ham, turkey, and then bacon. Sautéing the ham and turkey make it really nice and give it an awesome crisp. While in the pan, I like to add some ketchup and chili powder too. It makes it spicy in a yummy sweet way. All of this over hot oil, of course. If I'm feeling frisky, I throw some onions in the pan as well and caramelize the bitches. Once the meat is done, I usually add peppers like jalapeno and banana peppers. And then some spinach, light tomato, and maybe even pickles at times. Again, I do these on top of the sandwich, not the pan.
Spread/Sauce: Ok, this is where it gets interesting. I use a Mango Habanero sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings and mix it with some mayo and diced cabbage. I add each to taste, depending on how spicy I want it.
Then, you put that spread on a nicely toasted baguette, pile it up with the meat and vegetables and wash it down with a cold beer. Damn, this is making me hungry! I'll have to post pictures next time I make this.
