Worth the Weight
Spotify is alright, although I've never really liked using them, especially on mobile phones. Being connected constantly with LTE kills battery and wastes data when I could just have my music stored on an SD card.

I have Spotify Prem if you want to use it, I love it to be honest. There's also Pandora, I Heart Radio, and many more :p. Just have to look it up I suppose.

Climbing up the ladder
If you have songs and you want to upload them, then use Google Play music. It stores all your songs on a cloud and you can stream pretty much anytime you have service and its free!

Grumpy is God.
I enjoy Spotify Premium and if your worried about battery all you have to do is click download and it doesn't download it to your phone but to the app and takes up minimal storage space then since that song is downloaded it doesn't use data or kill battery as much. You can also share playlist with friends look at your favorite artist playlist and save it etc. I love it definitely worth $9.99 a month imo

Edit: Since there is also a radio feature built into Spotify similar to the whole Pandora thing where you chose a song, artist, album or genre and it find similar tracks Spotify Premium is really all you need unless you wanna listen to FM.

Spotify is best overall. Rdio and Google Play All Access are close, but Spotify premium is the best, no more discussion.

It's easy to use and has tons of music, more than Rdio and Play All Access.
