Well, I don't technically run. Even though I do plan on getting into running here real soon, but I've been doing humps lately, anywhere from 1.5 miles to 3 miles with different amount of weights. For example I'll have anywhere from 30 lbs to 70 lbs in my backpack and I'll go for a walk and at a fast walking pace. And I don't do it in shorts, no shirt, or running shoes. Normal t-shirt, pants, and boots.
I plan on starting running season once winter rolls out.
I'd fully recommend you to start running in winter. I took up running seriously last winter (maybe late fall) and recently I completed my first marathon ever.
Running during winter is fun but you have to wear thermoactive (ain't sure of this word correctnes) first layer or it's not gonna end well.
